Barcelona have identified Harry Kane as their top target to replace Robert Lewandowski next summer. The club sees the 32-year-old England captain as the perfect long-term successor to the 37-year-old Pole, whose contract expires in June.
According to reports, the Spanish champions could activate a £57 million clause in Kane’s Bayern Munich contract to secure the move.
Kane has been prolific since joining Bayern from Tottenham in 2023, netting 108 goals in 113 games and ending his long wait for silverware by helping reclaim the Bundesliga title.
Although Kane has said he is open to staying in Germany until his deal ends in 2027, the chance to join another European giant could tempt him — especially with Marcus Rashford already at Barcelona on loan, with a £30 million option to buy.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta, meanwhile, dismissed speculation about Lionel Messi returning from Inter Miami, saying: “Out of respect for Messi, our players, and our members, it’s not the time to speculate with unrealistic scenarios.”
