The Premier League has approved requests from Arsenal and Crystal Palace to move their league games ahead of their Carabao Cup quarter-final on 23 December.
Both clubs were originally set to play on Sunday 21 December, but their matches have been brought forward to 8pm on Saturday 20 December — Arsenal at Everton and Palace at Leeds.
Palace, who host KuPS in the Europa Conference League on 18 December, wanted more recovery time before facing Arsenal. The league said the decision was made with player welfare in mind, citing the pressure of congested schedules caused by expanded UEFA competitions.
The Premier League thanked Leeds and Everton for their cooperation. Both rescheduled fixtures will still be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
