Sanders emphasized that while the Trump administration promotes slogans like “Make America Healthy Again,” its actions, led by Kennedy, have undermined scientific guidance and public health standards.
The senator highlighted the recent firing of CDC director Susan Monarez, along with the resignation of four other senior CDC officials who opposed Kennedy’s directives, as evidence of the discord within public health agencies. Sanders condemned Kennedy’s long-standing anti-vaccine advocacy and his promotion of debunked health theories.
