    Mass Rallies Across London
On September 17, 2025, large crowds gathered in central London to oppose U.S. President Donald Trump’s second state visit to the United Kingdom. Organized by the Stop Trump Coalition, the demonstrations attracted environmental activists, anti-racism campaigners, and supporters of Palestinian causes. Marchers traveled from Portland Place to Parliament Square, waving banners, chanting slogans, and expressing disapproval of Trump’s policies. Police maintained a strong presence, ensuring that the event remained largely peaceful.

    Protest Activity in Windsor
Smaller demonstrations occurred in Windsor, where Trump was formally welcomed by King Charles III. Activists projected images linking Trump to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein onto Windsor Castle, leading to four arrests for malicious communications. Two additional arrests were made in connection with other protest actions, underscoring heightened tensions during the royal reception.

    Public Sentiment Remains Mixed
Opinion in the UK is divided regarding Trump’s visit. A YouGov survey found that 45% of respondents opposed the invitation, while 30% supported it. Critics contend that hosting Trump challenges democratic norms and human rights, whereas supporters see the visit as an opportunity to reinforce diplomatic relations between the UK and the U.S. The protests reflect ongoing debate about Trump’s policies and their wider implications.
